Trip Failed to Record

We recently fixed an issue that affected some users when recording long paddle sessions (typically over several hours). In certain cases, trips would still be recorded in Apple HealthKit but fail to appear in the PaddlePal Log Book. Occasionally, the app could crash during or after these sessions.


What Happened?

This issue was related to how PaddlePal handled the storage and synchronization of long-duration workouts. While HealthKit continued to log the activity, our internal processing could fail—causing the trip not to be saved properly in the Log Book.


Is It Fixed?

✅ Yes — this issue has been fully resolved in version 2025.31 of PaddlePal.


What Should I Do?

  • Update the app to the latest version (2025.31) via the App Store.
  • If you’re unsure whether a session was recorded, check the Health app > Show All Data > Paddling to verify your trip was captured.
