Understanding how PaddlePal uses your data

PaddlePal uses different data for workout recording, online features and support. The PaddlePal privacy policy is the maintained source for the full policy, service providers and your privacy rights.

Workouts and Apple Health

PaddlePal stores workout information on your device and integrates with Apple Health to save and read workouts, routes and permitted health measurements. App data can sync through Apple’s iCloud services. The information available depends on the permissions you grant.

Manage Health access in Apple Health’s app permissions, and manage location access in iPhone Settings. Revoking permissions can affect recording, imports or route display.

Connected features

  • Strava: linking your account allows PaddlePal to upload activities. Review auto-sync settings and activity visibility in Strava.
  • PaddleSafe: location sharing and emergency messaging send session, location and contact/message information to PaddlePal services and messaging providers. This information is not “completely anonymous”. Keep tracking links private.
  • Community features: information you submit for a PaddlePoint or community review is intended to be shared with other users.

Diagnostics and support

PaddlePal uses diagnostics and app-usage analytics to understand reliability and feature use. The in-app Get Supportflow prepares device information and recent app logs for the support request. A crash-report flow can include a crash reference. Review the message and attachments before sending, and remove details you do not want to share.

Questions or privacy requests
