What is PaddleSafe?
PaddleSafe is PaddlePal’s Pro feature for workout location sharing and emergency alerts to your chosen contact.
What it does
- Attempts to start an online safety session during eligible PaddlePal workouts.
- Sends location updates while the session is active and connected.
- Lets you trigger an emergency beacon to the mobile number saved for your emergency contact.
Set it up first
On iPhone, open the PaddleSafe shield on the home screen. Check your Pro access, add an emergency contact and verify their number including the country code. Tell the contact your plans and how to respond to an alert.
Understand the limits
Live sharing and beacon requests need internet connectivity. GPS recording can continue without internet, but that does not mean a live update or emergency message has been delivered. Cached locations are not a guarantee that an offline beacon will send later.
PaddleSafe does not automatically detect an emergency, monitor your trip on your behalf or call emergency services. Delivery is not guaranteed, and a sent request does not mean the recipient has read the message.
Read the PaddleSafe user guide for setup, the 10-second iPhone beacon countdown, Watch connectivity and troubleshooting.
